A Doctor’s Experience: The Need for Second Dental
A reoccurring theme
I see approximately 40 patients per day in my practice, and I have operated on thousands of teeth at this point in my career. I have seen simple cases to the most complex, and I pay attention to reoccurrences so that I can be prepared for the most common problems.
At least 5 patients per week come to my office requesting a second opinion. They have been given a treatment plan that is either confusing, too expensive, or perhaps even unnecessary. These patients have already paid for one exam and went to one office visit, now they are taking off of work and spending their day in a new dental office simply because they do not have confidence in their treatment plan. In the modern era, there should be a solution to this problem.
Second Dental combines the convenience of a Zoom call with the diagnosis of a dentist’s office. The fact that you can talk to an actual dentist is a difference maker. The appointment will look the same whether you go to the actual dentist office or consult via 2nd dental. My patients seeking 2nd opinions normally aren’t concerned with treatment in the moment, rather they are seeking peace of mind. I believe that Second Dental bridges that gap and helps people get this peace of mind while not keeping them from their daily grind.
Today’s world is fast paced and busy, 2nd dental helps bring dentistry into this world without sacrificing standard of care. I look forward to seeing the way this changes the face of dentistry.
